Azithromycin 200 mg/5 ml broad-spectrum antibiotic suspension for children with ear, sinus, and respiratory infections.
Zithromax Suspension is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in children, including acute otitis media, acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, and pharyngitis/tonsillitis.
Active Ingredient: Azithromycin 200 mg/5 ml.
Precautions: Antibiotics can cause diarrhea; call your physician if diarrhea is severe or lasts more than 2 or 3 days. Antibiotics can cause hypersensitivity reactions; call your physician if any reaction occurs. Follow your physician's instructions on the amount to use and the length of treatment. Safety and effectiveness in children under 6 months of age have not been established. Can be taken with or without food. Do not take aluminum- and magnesium-containing antacids at the same time as this medicine.

- How to Use: • Acute otitis media (6 months and older): 30 mg/kg as a single dose, or 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days, or 10 mg/kg on day 1 followed by 5 mg/kg/day on days 2–5. • Acute bacterial sinusitis (6 months and older): 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days. • Community-acquired pneumonia (6 months and older): 10 mg/kg on day 1 followed by 5 mg/kg once daily on days 2–5. • Pharyngitis/tonsillitis (2 years and older): 12 mg/kg once daily for 5 days. • Shake well before use. • After mixing, store the suspension at 5–30 °C and use within 10 days. • Discard after the full course of treatment is completed.
